Standards

Key Stage 2 Outcomes 2016

In 2016, children were tested for the first time against the new national curriculum.  The children could be judged to be working at the expected standard for their age with some children judged to be exceeding this standard.

We were delighted that our standards were in line with National Expectation for our combined results of Reading, Writing and Mathematics at 53%, with results exceeding the National Expectation for SPAG by 11%.

The table below shows the outcomes for all pupils and different groups.  In this cohort, boys achieved more highly than girls although this is not consistent across all year groups in the school.

The school has worked to close the gap between pupil premium children and non pupil premium children through such initiatives as learning focused breakfast clubs for pupil premium children, homework club and additional reading for pupil premium children.  The school has also worked to make learning purposeful and engaging for children through curriculum design and a range of extra-curricular activities.  Please see our curriculum pages for more information.

The school percentage is shown first with the national data for 2016 in brackets.
